Aerial Safety E-Learning Program

About This Project

The Aerial Safety program is required for all employees who need to work at heights of over 3 metres. This program introduces employees to the legislation around working at heights and covers the basics of various Fall Protection Systems. This program consists of 3 e-learning courses, covering topics such as regulatory guidelines, proper PPE usage, ladder safety and bucket truck operation. Fall Protection is the prerequisite course for the Aerial Safety program.

Challenges & Solutions

A 30-minute course was typically resourced to a team of 4 to cover project management, design, and development, these roles were rolled into 1, following a team restructure.
Flash was no longer being supported as of January of 2021. The existing Aerial Safety Program was built in Flash and working files were no longer accessible. As per government compliance, Health and Safety courses must be available at all times, therefore, meeting the deadline was crucial and non-negotiable.
Utilized vendor relationships to outsource development of 2 of 3 courses.
I established a template, style guides and graphics based off of the Fall Protection prerequisite course to aid in development of the remaining 2 courses.
I liaised between Shaw's stakeholders and the vendor's Project Manager to ensure content accuracy, quality and brand governance.
